Pomona says ‘no’ to L.A. County CCA program, for now

City Council members at their meeting last week rejected a proposal to join the Los Angeles Community Choice Energy program, or LACCE, a community choice aggregation program established by Los Angeles County to serve unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County.

During the council’s discussion of the topic, Mayor Sandoval said this is a matter that requires a larger community conversation.

“We’ve had no community input,” he said. He also said he’d like to have heard from residents before making a decision.
